So now we’ve recapped on all the past plays, it’s time to look to the future! We’re very excited to show these plays to you for the very first time.
Touched by Tom Daley is a new short by Papatango award winning playwright Louise Monaghan. We see two bored teenagers, driven to distraction by their supermarket deli job and taking any chance to escape reality. So when a genuine celebrity walks in, this is an opportunity not to be missed. A funny and moving piece about celebrity culture and modern day role models.
Alex Head’s Casting Call is an hilarious satire on the sometimes excruciating audition process and how far an actor will go to secure a role. Andrew is suffering the audition from hell – singing, dancing, accents, violent outbursts, but, it’s all worth it for the dream part, right?
We’re very excited for the return to Descent of Hot Dog playwright Sarah Kosar, with this piece specially commissioned for Now We Are Three. Fox is the story of best friends Susan and Charlotte who have decided to become famous at sixteen – they’ve got their plan all worked out. But signing an agreement at eight years old can cause problems later on that won’t just affect their fame, but also their friendship.
