Hot Dog: The Get In

Tonight is the opening night of Hot Dog and the whole team has been busy yesterday and today preparing the theatre for the first performance of this incredible show…

Director Faye and Set Designer Emma were in the space at the crack of dawn moving chairs and sawing wood before cleaning the floor and painting the walls.

Producer Steph was on hand too to paint the garden fence and gather props.

Whilst Lighting Designer Nadia began to focus the lights for the tech rehearsal, Emma finished work on the intricate floor design.

Resident Director Martin helped us move all the set and props into position. Of course, not everyone was as helpful as they could have been…

…but gradually The Gould’s house and The Dog’s house began to take shape…

As the tech rehearsal got underway, the Hot Dog play texts arrived!

And finally we managed to call it a night and head home, with just enough energy to read Faye’s interview in the London Student and cook a few sausages to make tiny hot dog canapes…

All cast and crew are now back in the theatre and dress rehearsal is about to begin.

We can’t wait for you all to see this show!!
